Lately it seems my posts have revolved around how excited I am that the weather is "cold" (below 80, non-Northerner definition).  This pink Zara coat is my current closet obsession.

couch pants

This past weekend I attended a gorgeous engagement party hosted in a barn, with hydrangeas, and candles, and mason jars- it was basically porn for Pinterest. Naturally, my "couch pants" (awesomely floral vegan leather pants) were my go-to for this event since the Polar Vortex migrated South and temperatures dipped. Regardless, it was fun & beautiful, and also the perfect location for my new tweed Iro jacket's first outing.

Last Resort

White lace & scalloped linen, pink & turquoise brights, and swimsuits hanging in glistening spandex glory..summer gear already? No, it's Resort, duhh! Unfortunately my passport isn't getting any stamp action for at least the next month, so I had to make my new flowery one-piece "winter-appropriate".  I toughened it up with a not-so-tough black skirt and some leather pieces, perfect for our Floridian winters down here. Hiding From Decembrrr

While the entire country is shivering next to a log fire and cuddling with throw blankets and hot cocoa with tiny marshmallows, I jump at the chance to play with leather & cashmere the minute it drops to 75 degrees. I should probably stop complaining though, because a mini skirt and 2 layers wouldn't fly anywhere above the Georgia state-line. Camo & flower patterns help us South Floridians hide from the real Winter!

................. Skeletons In Your Closet ................. {A Doe's House x A Golden Sparrow}

     Last week I had the pleasure of previewing a new piece from A Golden Sparrow jewelry, a sweet yet edgy company which donates $5 from each purchase toward a microloan for a woman living in poverty to start her own business.
     Each beautiful piece comes with a captivating quote; my tiny little skull (from the "dimepiece" collection, serving as a little reminder) came with the feisty statement "IF YOU CAN'T GET RID OF THE SKELETON IN YOUR CLOSET, YOU'D BEST TEACH IT TO DANCE". Love it!
     It did indeed inspire me to break out my vintage gold leather jacket, passed down to me from a great-aunt in Beverly Hills, CA. She was fab, as is the jacket, and this jewelry line. XX
